About

My background

My name is Bob, and I'm forty-something years old.

I've spent most of my adult life involved in creative endeavours including song-writing, videography, writing, drawing and more.  In the background was an interest in photography, but when my father passed away in 2019 I began to truly appreciate the power and emotional value held within still-images.

My obsession with photography began with street photography, capturing architecture and scenes, but especially seeking out moments and people. My first published photos almost exclusively depicted life in the city of London.

In 2020 when all of our circumstances were so disrupted, my ability to venture into the city was also severely limited. That's when I decided to invest in my van and start exploring the countryside and coastlines.

Wild-camping, chasing the light across the land as the sun rises and falls gives me the opportunity to capture moments and places in completely new ways, including landscapes, seascapes and even a little astrophotography.

In more recent times I've started to work more in my local community, collaborating with other photographers and artists, supporting tourism and other community and charity efforts in my home town of Waltham Abbey.

I provide journalistic photo coverage of local events, work with local individuals and businesses to provide commercial photography, portraits and corporate headshots, aerial survey and drone footage.

In June 2023, I was voted the winner of the Waltham Abbey Art Trail Photography Award.

Interested in supporting me?

As with all creative passions, photography tends to cost a lot more money than it makes. I sell photos from the events I cover, and you can also hire me for your event, party or portrait.

However, if you just enjoy the work that I do and would like a simple way to support it, you are very welcome to buy me a virtual coffee via my Ko-Fi page.
