Who is 'Pitchside Bob'?
I got into football as a kid, standing on the touchline watching my big brother play Sunday League. The first teams I ever supported were named after pubs rather than towns, so grassroots football has been part of my life for a very long time. These days, you'll usually find me with a camera somewhere alongside the pitch.
I work with clubs, media teams, players and publications to provide the photographs they actually need. Match action, celebrations, personalities, supporters and all the other things that make a Saturday afternoon about more than just the final score.
Pitchside Bob has grown considerably, but I always want the photography to feel accessible. Whether its cold Tuesday nights, baking hot pre-season friendlies, muddy grassroots pitches, packed grounds and almost-empty ones - Give me a game and somewhere to stand with a camera and I'm generally pretty happy!
Press & Publications
My work has appeared in print and online in The Non-League Paper alongside regional titles such as the Hertfordshire Mercury, Cambridge News, Kent Online and Essex Chronicle. I regularly cover National League South and other Non-League fixtures, working with clubs and supplying editorial photography to The Non-League Paper and other publications.
Beyond Football
Football may take up most of my weekends, but it isn't all I photograph.
I cover baseball, American football, cricket, motorsport, golf, dragon boat racing and other sporting and community events, including national and international competition.
I particularly enjoy finding sports and teams that don't always get the photographic coverage they deserve. Some of my favourite assignments have come from turning up to something completely different, learning how the sport works and working out where the pictures are going to come from.

Credentials, safeguarding & licensing
I work with clubs, publications, governing bodies, event organisers, players and families, whether that's supplying editorial images, creating a season-long record for a club or simply making sure somebody has a great photograph from the day they scored that goal.
I'm fully insured, DBS checked and licensed by the National League. For youth sport, safeguarding is particularly important to me, with private, password-protected galleries used where appropriate.
